We grow our own salads, herbs, vegetables & edible flowers on our croft (smallholding) and in our kitchen garden in the restaurant grounds.
Our 18 acre croft is located in Skinidin, 2 miles west over the loch from The Dunvegan and situated part-way up Macleods Tables. We have been living and developing the croft for over 20 years, nurturing and cultivating its growth with Hebridean sheep, chickens, pigs, planting trees – and now growing in 3 polytunnels, a fruit field and vegetable gardens.
It’s an ongoing work-in-progress – improving & developing our growing capacity, working with different seed producers, planting more trees, adding biodiversity to the croft, encouraging insects and birds, improving drainage, the list goes on. We’re passionate and dedicated to producing sustainable ingredients for each guest to enjoy.
