To address the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic we have implemented a range of measures to keep everyone safe – it’s our commitment to you and our team.
Social Distancing – we have implemented social distancing measures throughout the building, including a separate entrance and exit, screens at till point and table spacing exceeding Scottish Government guidelines where possible.
Cafe & Restaurant – our tables have been physically spaced 1.5m+ metres apart in accordance with Government and industry guidelines. We are also providing outdoor picnic benches should you wish to eat or drink outside.
Sanitising Stations – we’ve placed hand sanitiser and/or wipes around the public areas of The Dunvegan.
ULV Fogging – we have invested in and use a ULV fogging machine twice daily that sprays surfaces with an environmentally friendly and safe mist that kills viruses and bacteria, including Covid-19
Increased Cleaning & Disinfecting – we’ve increased the frequency of cleaning & disinfecting throughout the public area of The Dunvegan.
Air circulation – doors & windows will be left open to increase natural air circulation and ventilation in public spaces
Test & Protect – collecting contact details in accordance with Scottish Government requirements
Team Member Training – All members of the team have undertaken advanced food hygiene training and will receive regular, ongoing training
Team Member PPE – Gloves, masks, visors and other personal protective equipment are issued to all members of the team
Risk Assessments – we have spent much time creating & reviewing Risk Assessments for every aspect of the Customer Journey, considering the potential risks to staff and customers, and how they might be mitigated.
In addition for our accommodation guests:
Guest Room Cleaning – guest rooms are deep cleaned in accordance with industry guidelines after every stay, using a detailed checklist
Linen ‘Quarantine‘ – we store all used linen seperately for 48 hours, before being washed to reduce any potential transmission of virus on surfaces
Reduced In-Room Amenities – we have removed “high touch” items from rooms, and will re-introduce them, when it is safe to do so
Linen – all linens are washed at an optimal temperature of 60+ degrees
